You need a Pastor.

Every believer needs a Pastor.

In fact, every believer has a Pastor assigned to whom they are assigned. Whether we follow through on that assignment is up to us.

Ephesians 4:11-13 (New King James Version)11 And He Himself gave some to be apostles, some prophets, some evangelists, and some pastors and teachers, 12 for the equipping of the saints for the work of ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ, 13 till we all come to the unity of the faith and of the knowledge of the Son of God, to a perfect man, to the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ;

It is God who has placed the five-fold ministry into the church. The Pastor, of course, is one of the five-fold ministry.

Why do we need a Pastor or any of the five fold ministry?

The Holy Spirit tells us it to equip the believer for his or her individual ministry and to edify (build up) the believer.

A Pastor is the under shepherd and Jesus is the Lead Shepherd.

1 Peter 5:1-3 (King James Version) 1The elders which are among you I exhort, who am also an elder, and a witness of the sufferings of Christ, and also a partaker of the glory that shall be revealed: 2Feed the flock of God which is among you, taking the oversight thereof, not by constraint, but willingly; not for filthy lucre, but of a ready mind; 3Neither as being lords over God's heritage, but being examples to the flock.

The Pastor’s job is to feed the sheep the Word of God. The Pastor protects his flock from wolves (false teachers) and false doctrine.

A Pastor teaches and equips the flock to be able ministers in a lost world.

The believer cannot grow the way he ought without a Pastor.

And you can’t have a Pastor if you don’t go to church.

So, if you don’t have a Pastor yet ask the Holy Spirit to lead you to your Pastor.

It is time to get with God’s program.
