Find The Place Part 3

Religion twists the truth.

Religion leads people to pray to a dead person, starve themselves or even mutilate themselves.

Religion hopes to get close to God.

Relationship insures we are close to God!

When you accept Jesus Christ as Savior you don’t get religion you get a family.

God’s family.

You get a Heavenly Father and Elder Brother who is King of Kings.

Whew, think on that!

In the natural if your name is Gates and your dad’s first name is Bill you expect to have quite an inheritance.

Well, if you are a believer and your Father is God you to can expect quite an inheritance.

Romans 8:16-17 (New King James Version)16 The Spirit Himself bears witness with our spirit that we are children of God, 17 and if children, then heirs—heirs of God and joint heirs with Christ…

Dare we confess such a thing? We do because we have found the place where it is written.
We are joint heirs with Christ.

What is a joint heir? Let’s read the definition from Easton’s Bible Dictionary:

Heir : Under the patriarchs the property of a father was divided among the sons of his legitimate wives (Gen. 21:10; 24:36; 25:5), the eldest son getting a larger portion than the rest. The Mosaic law made specific regulations regarding the transmission of real property, which are given in detail in Deut. 21:17; Num. 27:8; 36:6; 27:9-11. Succession to property was a matter of right and not of favor. Christ is the "heir of all things" (Heb. 1:2; Col. 1:15). Believers are heirs of the "promise," "of righteousness," "of the kingdom," "of the world," "of God," "joint heirs" with Christ (Gal 3:29; Heb. 6:17; 11:7; James 2:5; Rom. 4:13; 8:17).

So, according to this definition Jesus has a right to inherit all things.

As a joint heir we inherit all things with Him. What is His is ours!

Praise God!

I know that may shake your theology but the Bible says it so that settles it.

Praise God what’s His is ours.

His peace is our peace.

His health is our health.

His righteousness is our righteousness.

His prosperity is our prosperity.

He is worthy of all our praise!

Find The Place Part 2

Wipe the following from your vocabulary:

“We are all just sinners struggling along in these old sinful bodies.”

Friend, if you are a sinner then you need to get saved!

“Well, aren’t we all just sinners?”

Well, let’s see find the place in the Word concerning who we are:

2 Corinthians 5:17 (New King James Version)17 Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new.

Friend, you were a sinner but the moment you accepted Christ as your savior you became a new creation. You are now the body of Christ.

“If I sin even a little bit doesn’t that make me a sinner?”

1 John 3:5-6 (New King James Version)5 And you know that He was manifested to take away our sins, and in Him there is no sin. 6 Whoever abides in Him does not sin. Whoever sins has neither seen Him nor known Him.

This is talking about a life of sin.

You see, I may play catch with a football a couple of times a year but that does not make me a football player.

I may walk into my garage but that does not make me a car.

“You mean I will never sin.”

Sin is now abnormal to you. In truth, it is abhorrent to you. If you do sin you no longer enjoy it. You are ruined for sin.

And if you do sin be quick to repent and God has promised to forgive and forget.

1 John 1:9 (New King James Version)9 If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

What are you cleansed of? A-L-L unrighteousness!

Praise the Lord.

Sinners cannot enter the Kingdom of God. They belong in the kingdom of darkness.
We as believers no longer belong to the dark kingdom.

Colossians 1:12-13 (New King James Version)12 giving thanks to the Father who has qualified us to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in the light. 13 He has delivered us from the power of darkness and conveyed us into the kingdom of the Son of His love,

The believer is now a member of the kingdom of light, the kingdom of Jesus Christ.
So, confess who you are in Christ. Especially, when you have sinned.

It is then the devil will attack your mind in order to get your eyes off of Christ and on the sin He redeemed you from.

Again, be quick to repent and be quick to confess who you are in Christ.

Not only is confessing the Word an action of faith it is also a good reminder to yourself and to the devil of who you are in Christ.

Confession brings possession.

Find The Place Part 1

There is a lot of talk about self-esteem these days. People spend millions and millions of dollars to feel better about themselves.

Even Christians are not immune to this phenomenon. Believers spend time and money on appointments with psychological counselors who numb their pain with prescription medication.

We have lost our way in life by trying to find our place in life.

We have it all wrong. Instead of finding our place we should find the place.

Luke 4:16-20 (New King James Version) 16 So He came to Nazareth, where He had been brought up. And as His custom was, He went into the synagogue on the Sabbath day, and stood up to read. 17 And He was handed the book of the prophet Isaiah. And when He had opened the book, He found the place where it was written: 18 “ The Spirit of the LORD is upon Me, Because He has anointed Me To preach the gospel to the poor; He has sent Me to heal the brokenhearted,[a] To proclaim liberty to the captives And recovery of sight to the blind, To set at liberty those who are oppressed; 19 To proclaim the acceptable year of the LORD.”
20 Then He closed the book, and gave it back to the attendant and sat down. And the eyes of all who were in the synagogue were fixed on Him.

Jesus found the place in the written Word of God and He confessed it before man and demons alike. He was what the Word said He was. In fact, He was the Word (John 1:1).

Our answers are found when we find the place.

As a sinner we find the place where the Word says we have a savior available to us by faith.

As a believer we find the place where the Word tells us who we are in Christ, what we have in Christ, and what we can do in Christ.

This week I am going to help you find the place in the Word about you if you are a believer.

Once you find the place you will find your place and that is a good place to be.

The Seed Of The Woman

Before the fall of man Adam walked and talked with Father God. God had created Adam to have dominion over the earth and He made Eve to be a helpmate to Adam.

He placed them in the Garden of Eden where every single need of theirs was met. Incidentally, many scholars believe this was located in the ancient Iraqi city of Babylon.

The only command given to Adam at this time was not to eat of the tree of knowledge of good and evil. Well, Adam and Eve did exactly that.

“But, Eve ate first.”

Yes, we men like to blame the woman. But, God held Adam responsible because God has placed the man as spiritual head of the family. The problem arises when man forfeits God’s order for his own. It is then that Eden becomes a paradise lost.

“You mean all they had to do was not eat of that tree? I could have done that.”

Friend, you mean all you have to do is not lose your temper? Not lust after that pretty gal? Not judge according to one's skin pigmentation or lack there of?

You see, we are not much different than Adam, are we?

Well, we all know what happened. Judgment followed sin. Adam and Eve were banished from the Garden and they died spiritually. Spiritual death means separation from God.

The serpent was cursed and told upon his belly he would go (Genesis 3:14). This would indicate that snakes originally walked upright.

Yes, judgment came. But, God is a merciful God. With Judgment the Lord brought mercy.

Genesis 3:15 (New King James Version) 15 And I will put enmity Between you and the woman, And between your seed and her Seed; He shall bruise your head, And you shall bruise His heel.”

This prophetic Word from the Lord has confounded the world for centuries. After all, a woman has no seed. It is the man that has seed. So, how can this be?

Luke 1:29-35 (New Living Translation) 29 Confused and disturbed, Mary tried to think what the angel could mean. 30 “Don’t be afraid, Mary,” the angel told her, “for you have found favor with God! 31 You will conceive and give birth to a son, and you will name him Jesus. 32 He will be very great and will be called the Son of the Most High. The Lord God will give him the throne of his ancestor David. 33 And he will reign over Israel[a] forever; his Kingdom will never end!” 34 Mary asked the angel, “But how can this happen? I am a virgin.” 35 The angel replied, “The Holy Spirit will come upon you, and the power of the Most High will overshadow you. So the baby to be born will be holy, and he will be called the Son of God.

Friend, through Adam sin came into the world. The wages of sin is death. All of man has earned death. That means you and I.

But, thank God today we celebrate the birth of Jesus, the Seed of the Woman! The seed of man did not corrupt him. He was birthed by the power of the Holy Spirit!

He broke the chain of sin and defeat forever!

He was born sinless, died sinless and rose from the dead sinless.

He was and is the perfect Man and we are perfected in Him by faith.

Friend, that is the Christmas Story!

Merry Christmas in the Name of Jesus Christ our Lord!

O Holy Night! The stars are brightly shining, It is the night of the dear Saviour's birth. Long lay the world in sin and error pining. Till He appeared and the Spirit felt its worth. A thrill of hope the weary world rejoices, For yonder breaks a new and glorious morn. Fall on your knees! Oh, hear the angel voices! O night divine, the night when Christ was born; O night, O Holy Night , O night divine! O night, O Holy Night , O night divine! Led by the light of faith serenely beaming, With glowing hearts by His cradle we stand. O'er the world a star is sweetly gleaming, Now come the wisemen from out of the Orient land. The King of kings lay thus lowly manger; In all our trials born to be our friends. He knows our need, our weakness is no stranger, Behold your King! Before him lowly bend! Behold your King! Before him lowly bend! Truly He taught us to love one another, His law is love and His gospel is peace. Chains he shall break, for the slave is our brother. And in his name all oppression shall cease. Sweet hymns of joy in grateful chorus raise we, With all our hearts we praise His holy name. Christ is the Lord! Then ever, ever praise we, His power and glory ever more proclaim! His power and glory ever more proclaim!

The Midnight Hour

Sometimes trouble comes because we have sin in our life or we are out of God’s will.

However, often it is the exact opposite. You see, the devil will bring opposition because you are doing his kingdom great damage.

I have heard it said that one could tell their value to the kingdom of God by the intensity of opposition felt in this world.

Often times this will bring a “Midnight Hour” experience.

Paul and Silas were in the will of God. They had delivered a young woman from demon possession.

Was there joy in the city as a result?

No. They were put in prison.

Religion and the world hate the supernatural work of God. But, those that are delivered will never be the same.

Anyway, they were put in prison for doing the work of God.

Did they whine and cry” This ain’t fair. Nothing good ever happens to me. It seems I just pass from one problem to another.”

Did they lie down and die?

NO WAY, JOSE!
Acts 16:25-34 (King James Version) 25And at midnight Paul and Silas prayed, and sang praises unto God: and the prisoners heard them. 26And suddenly there was a great earthquake, so that the foundations of the prison were shaken: and immediately all the doors were opened, and every one's bands were loosed.

They sang praises to God!

They prayed!

And then suddenly circumstances changed.

They were delivered and the jailer and his whole family got saved.

That is the kind of God we serve!

Friend, quit having and pity party and start praising God in the midst of the trial. No, you are not praising Him for the trial.

You are praising Him because He is the deliverer from the trial. He is the one who will shake the world if He has too to set you free.

If you just got a pink slip then praise the Lord a better job is coming.

If you just got a bad report from the doctor then praise the Lord that you have a better report from the Word of God and healing is yours.

Raise your hands toward the throne room of Grace and just praise Him.

Your suddenly is coming!

Mountain Moving Faith Part 4(Forgiveness)

Thank God, we can move the mountains in our life. We do this by:
1) Having the Faith of God
2) Speaking to the Mountain
3) Believing and Receiving

But, Jesus warns us of a hindrance that will block our faith from working: Unforgiveness.

Mark 11:22-26 (New King James Version)22 So Jesus answered and said to them, “Have faith in God. 23 For assuredly, I say to you, whoever says to this mountain, ‘Be removed and be cast into the sea,’ and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that those things he says will be done, he will have whatever he says. 24 Therefore I say to you, whatever things you ask when you pray, believe that you receive them, and you will have them. 25 “And whenever you stand praying, if you have anything against anyone, forgive him, that your Father in heaven may also forgive you your trespasses. 26 But if you do not forgive, neither will your Father in heaven forgive your trespasses.”

Oh my, could this be the reason so many pray and see no results?

Yes, we have faith.

Yes, we have spoke to the mountain.

Yes, we believe we have received.

But, we have not forgiven and that has kept the blessing from manifesting.

It is like turning on the water and twisting the water hose. The water stops flowing.
Unforgiveness twists the pathway from heaven to us and the blessings stop flowing.

Forgiveness is an act of faith. You forgive someone by faith. Don’t let your feelings or memories fool you.

Forgiveness is not forgetting. You still have a brain that stores memory. Feelings come and go.

However, faith is constant. When the devil uses memories of past wrongs against you that you have forgiven you MUST use your faith and declare:

“Devil, I have forgiven that person. I don’t care how I feel about it or what memories you try to bring upon my mind it is a done deal. I forgive them by faith and that settles it.”
You are now in position to receive what you have believed God for. Get ready. Here it comes!

Mountain Moving Faith Part 3(Believe You Receive)

We have learned we must have the faith of God and that we have to speak to the mountain.

Today, we learn about the third principle for moving your mountain: Believe You Receive.

Mark 11:22-25 (New King James Version)22 So Jesus answered and said to them, “Have faith in God.

I assume every one of us believe that Jesus never told a lie and He meant exactly what He said.
If that is the true, and it is, then when Jesus says we can have what we say He must have meant it.

He did.

I constantly tell people to feed on the Word. This simply means that you read the Word every day, you read books by anointed teachers, and listen to anointed preaching and teaching. All of these are ways to feed on the Word. Reading the Bible is the most important way, as would be obvious.

As you feed on the Word your spirit man’s faith is strengthening. Without the Word there is no other way to get faith.

Romans 10:17 (New King James Version)17 So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.

Faith speaks. Jesus said in Luke 6:45 (New King James Version)45 A good man out of the good treasure of his heart brings forth good; and an evil man out of the evil treasure of his heart[a] brings forth evil. For out of the abundance of the heart his mouth speaks.

So, what ever you put in you is going to come out. Because you feed on the Word regularly faith in the Word is going to flow from your mouth.

Your faith is based on the Word of God, as are your faith words.

Because of this you are able to call those things that be not as though they were according to the Word of the Living God.

Faith tells you that you have those things the moment you speak them.

Remember, Jesus said he who believes that those things he says will be done, he will have whatever he says and whatever things you ask when you pray, believe that you receive them, and you will have them.

When do you receive? The moment you pray.

By faith you have what you are praying for. It is yours and you are now just waiting for the promise to manifest.

For instance, you have found a promise in the Word concerning your situation and your pray for that promise. The moment you pray in faith for the promise you receive that promise, according to the Words of Jesus.

You can confess the promise as done. You now go from prayer to praise!

"Lord, I receive by faith the promise. It is mine and I thank you for it."
"I don't see the promise, Mace."

Remember, Jesus said you receive the moment you believe.

The whole principle is a faith principle. It is your faith that brings it from the spirit realm into the natural realm.

Friend, maybe it is time for YOU to line up with the Word and not against it. The Word says to believe and receive and then we will have the promise.

The problem is too many of us are like Thomas and have to put our fingers in the holes in Jesus’ hand before we will believe. That does not make Jesus too happy.

John 20:29 (New King James Version)29 Jesus said to him, “Thomas,[a] because you have seen Me, you have believed. Blessed are those who have not seen and yet have believed.”So, let us have the faith of God, speak to the mountains in our life, believe and receive.

Mountain Moving Faith Part 2(Say To The Mountain)

Yesterday, we learned we must have the God kind of faith. When we were born again God planted his faith in our spirit. We have His DNA; therefore, we are to operate like Him.

Today, let us look at the second principle from the words of Jesus we need to act on to move the mountains in our life.

Mark 11:22-24 (New King James Version)22 So Jesus answered and said to them, “Have faith in God.

Notice, Jesus mentions believing twice but He mentions “say” or “says” four times.

You have to speak to the mountain in order for it to move. Jesus did not say think silently to yourself but to speak out loud.

As we pointed out yesterday the God kind of faith calls those things that be not as though they were.

Are you speaking to your mountain?

“Mace, that is fine if that works for you but I prefer to just think nice happy thoughts to myself.”
Friend, these are not my words but the Words of Jesus. Nice and happy thoughts are not enough to move your mountains. In fact, depending on nice and happy thoughts to move your mountain is like spitting into the wind. It doesn’t accomplish much except leave you all wet!

If you want God to move in your life you and I have to operate according to His Word. His word says we must have the God kind of faith and that we have to open our mouths and say.

God spoke the world into existence. We are in the God family now that we are born again and we have to speak our world into existence.

I heard a preacher say one time that we cannot choose if we are going to live by our words but we can choose what words we live by.

Speak words of faith to your mountains.

Speak the word of God to your mountain.

Soon that mountain will be gone.

Mountain Moving Faith Part 1(Having the Faith of God)

Jesus told us we could have faith to move mountains. These mountains can be anything that is an obstacle in our life.

Sickness and disease are mountains that many of us find in our faith walk. But, thank God, we have been given a way to get that mountain out of our way. We will deal with this in depth this week.

Let us look at the words of Jesus.

Mark 11:22-24 (New King James Version)22 So Jesus answered and said to them, “Have faith in God.

The day before Jesus spoke these words He had passed a fig tree and had cursed it for not having any fruit. The disciples saw that the tree Jesus had cursed the day before was dried up from the roots.

Peter brought all of this up to Jesus. Jesus then began to exhort on the power of faith in the believer’s life. If you and I will put these words into action in our lives we will see mountains of sickness, despair, and heartache move.

First, Jesus said to have faith in God. Actually, in the Greek it literally means have the God kind of faith.

Jesus would not tell us to do this if it were impossible to do so.

God the Father is a faith God. It is impossible to please Him without faith (Hebrews 11:6).
The God kind of faith calls those things that be not as though they were (Romans 4:17).

About 25 years before Abram ever had a child God changed his name to Abraham. Abraham means the Father of many nations. God was calling Abraham the Father of many nations and Abraham didn’t even have a child.

God called those things that be not as though they were. Guess what? Abraham had a son at the age of 100 and through that son the Messiah came.

This one of the hardest principles for the believer to act on because the devil wants us to be enslaved to our feelings and circumstances.

You and I have to learn to speak our faith.

Call those things that be not as though they were.

Call healing into your sick body.

Call poverty into your lack.

Call strength into your weakness.

Jesus has given you this authority so dare to use it.

Healing: Part of Our Redemption

When Jesus hung on that cross at Calvary He totally redeemed us. There are three primary areas of our redemption:

1) Redeemed from spiritual death
2) Redeemed from poverty
3) Redeemed from sickness and disease

Galatians 3:13-14 (New King James Version)13 Christ has redeemed us from the curse of the law, having become a curse for us (for it is written, “Cursed is everyone who hangs on a tree”[a]), 14 that the blessing of Abraham might come upon the Gentiles in Christ Jesus, that we might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith.

Notice the Word of God says Christ has redeemed us. It is past tense. It is a done deal. Praise the Lord.

The Greek word for redeemed is exagorazo. It means to buy from. Christ has bought us back from the curse of the law.

Most folk think of sin when it comes to redemption. Thank God that is true. Jesus bore our sin on the Cross so we could be the righteousness of God.

You believe that don’t you? How come you have such a hard time believing He bore your sickness so you can be healed?

After all, sickness and disease are a part of the Curse that results from breaking the Law of God.

Arthritis is a curse.

Asthma is a curse.

Cancer is a curse.

Depression and an unsound mind are a curse.

But, Praise God Jesus has bought us back from the curse of the Law.

Deuteronomy 28 goes into great detail about the blessings of obeying the Law and the curse of disobedience.

It is In Christ that we keep the Law in totality!

Praise the Lord!

Take the time to read it. The Lord lists every disease one could imagine. And just in case there was any doubt that sickness is a curse He put the following in the Word:

Deuteronomy 28:61 (New King James Version)61 Also every sickness and every plague, which is not written in this Book of the Law, will the LORD bring upon you until you are destroyed.

Well, that pretty much covers all sickness and disease, doesn’t it?

But, let us not forget that we are redeemed from all that. Your Divine health was paid for with a price.

I want to hammer it home to you that healing is your New Covenant right. It is the truth and you have to know the truth in order for it to set you free.

Read these scriptures over and over until they take root in your spirit. Speak them the moment symptoms rear their ugly heads.

Yes, you may have to fight the good fight of faith. But, now you are equipped with the truth of the Word.

God’s Will Be Done

Of course, every believer wants the will of God in his or her life.

When we are not sure of His will regarding a matter we should always seek what He wants done.

However, we don't need to seek His will if He has already made it known by His Spirit or His Word.

Friend, the written Word is His will. If you can find a promise or command in the Word regarding your circumstance or situation you don’t have to ask for His will.

For instance, you don’t need to pray, “Lord, if it be thy will please save my Uncle Biff.”

We already know by the Word the Lord wants everyone saved. There is no need to pray Uncle Biff’s salvation. But, we may pray for the Lord to send Laborers into the field that good ol’ Bill would listen to. That is a scriptural prayer according to the Words of Jesus.

Matthew 9:36-38 (New King James Version)36 But when He saw the multitudes, He was moved with compassion for them, because they were weary[a] and scattered, like sheep having no shepherd. 37 Then He said to His disciples, “The harvest truly is plentiful, but the laborers are few. 38 Therefore pray the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into His harvest.”

The same is true about healing. We have shown over and over it is the Lord’s will for you to be healed. You don’t have to pray about it. You just have to stand in faith on the Word and receive by faith. It is His will.

“But, Mace what about this scripture? Matthew 6:9-13 (New King James Version) In this manner, therefore, pray: Our Father in heaven, Hallowed be Your name. 10 Your kingdom come. Your will be done On earth as it is in heaven. 11 Give us this day our daily bread. 12 And forgive us our debts, As we forgive our debtors. 13 And do not lead us into temptation, But deliver us from the evil one. For Yours is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever. Amen.[a]”

Jesus said we should pray the Lord’s will be done on earth as it is in heaven.
Again, on earth as it is in heaven.

Is there any cancer in heaven?

Is there any diabetes in heaven?

Is there any Parkinson’s disease in heaven?

Is there any autism in heaven?

Is there any sickness or disease in heaven?

NO!!!!!!

So, what does that tell us?

Again, it is not His will for you to be sick.

You don’t have to pray about it any longer. You know it is His will for you to be healed.
So believe, confess the Word over your symptoms and receive you blood bought healing in the Name of Jesus!

Is My Sickness Bringing Glory To God?

I have spoken to far too many believers that have been duped by the devil, religious folk, and tradition into believing they are suffering for Jesus.

“I am suffering for Jesus.”

“I am willing to carry this cancer for God.” And so on.

Friend, Jesus doesn’t need you to suffer on his behalf. The truth is, and we have proven this over the last week or so with scripture, is that He suffered with many stripes across His back so you could be healed.

Many have used the following scripture to try and prove that sickness brings glory to God.

John 9:1-3 (King James Version) 1And as Jesus passed by, he saw a man which was blind from his birth. 2And his disciples asked him, saying, Master, who did sin, this man, or his parents, that he was born blind? 3Jesus answered, Neither hath this man sinned, nor his parents: but that the works of God should be made manifest in him.

“See, Mace? Jesus said the guy was blind so the works of God should would manifest in him.”
Let’s continue reading.

John 9:4-7 (King James Version) 4I must work the works of him that sent me, while it is day: the night cometh, when no man can work. 5As long as I am in the world, I am the light of the world. 6When he had thus spoken, he spat on the ground, and made clay of the spittle, and he anointed the eyes of the blind man with the clay, 7And said unto him, Go, wash in the pool of Siloam, (which is by interpretation, Sent.) He went his way therefore, and washed, and came seeing.

Remember, Jesus said the man was blind so the works of God would manifest in him. Well, what work was manifested?

Healing!

That is the work of God. He is a healing God!

Let us look at this logically. Do you rejoice when you see someone in a wheel chair? No, you pray for them to be healed.

Do you give glory to God when you see someone suffering from sickness? No, you hurt for them.

Do you shout “Hallelujah” when you witness a child suffering disease?

Of course, not.

However, when you see or hear the testimony of one rising from the wheelchair faith rises in us and we can’t help but shout “Glory” to the healer.

When the symptoms leave for no reason except the power of the Master has invaded the body we can’t help but Praise the Name of Jesus.

When the crying child stops because the pain has ran away in fear of the King of Kings we can’t help but give glory to the Lamb.

Friend, it is not your sickness that brings glory to God. It is you healing.

So, keep believing.

Keep Praising.

Your sickness is not here to stay. It came to pass! The devil meant to kill you but God’s works are going to manifest in you!

God’s Method For Healing V

The final method for healing we will examine is the function of the spiritual gift of healing.

1 Corinthians 12:7-10 (New King James Version)7 But the manifestation of the Spirit is given to each one for the profit of all: 8 for to one is given the word of wisdom through the Spirit, to another the word of knowledge through the same Spirit, 9 to another faith by the same Spirit, to another gifts of healings by the same[a] Spirit, 10 to another the working of miracles, to another prophecy, to another discerning of spirits, to another different kinds of tongues, to another the interpretation of tongues.

The gift of healing is the supernatural power to heal sickness or disease without the aid of medicine or natural remedies.

It is not, as some teach, someone who studies to be a doctor.

If that were the case there would be a whole lot of atheists and nonbelievers who have this gift of the Holy Spirit. Not possible.

Jesus and many of the disciples functioned in this gift. This gift flows in the Church today. Thank God.

It brings glory to Jesus by showing His power on this earth.

I have a niece that suffered a third degree burn when she was about 4 years old. My wife and I were visiting with her and her family one day.

She was told she would have permanent nerve damage and have several operations. As her grandmother was telling us all of this she began to cry in pain.
I took her hand and intended just to lay hands on her according to Mark 16:18. But, the Holy Spirit fell on me and I knew by His witness I would be functioning in the gift of healing.
I laid hands on her and she immediately stopped crying. Praise God!

She never had to have the surgery, her nerves are a hundred percent normal, and the skin is baby smooth.

Praise God. That is the gift of healing in operation.

“Well, if that gift were real why don’t you go into all the hospitals and heal everyone.”

First of all, friend, the gifts of the Spirit operate as the Spirit wills. It is not our gift to turn on and turn off.

Secondly, I guess you could ask Jesus the same thing. He didn’t do that. He operated as the Holy Spirit led him.

In fact, when Jesus healed the lame man at the Bethesda pool there were sick folk lying all around. There is no record of Him healing anyone other than the one lame man.

Why?

I don’t know but I do know the gift flows as the Spirit wills.

“That means healing is not for everyone.”

Nice try. It means that this method may not be the method for everyone’s healing.

It may be by faith in the Word, the laying on of hands of the believer, a Word from a Prophet, or by the gift of healing.

One of these will be God’s method to get you healed!

God’s Method of Healing IV

Sometimes God will use someone to speak a Word to you for you to receive your healing. It may be a simple instruction, a Word of Wisdom or Knowledge. It is a supernatural instruction inspired by the Holy Spirit.

Naaman was a great captain in the king of Syria’s army. The Lord had used him mightily to deliver the Syrians from their enemies.

Naaman also had leprosy. But, through a series of events he heard of the great Prophet Elisha. At the King of Israel’s request Elisha allowed to Naaman to come to the door of his house.

Naaman came in all his illustrious pomp and circumstance. Let us pick up in scripture:

2 Kings 5:10-14 (New King James Version)10 And Elisha sent a messenger to him, saying, “Go and wash in the Jordan seven times, and your flesh shall be restored to you, and you shall be clean.” 11 But Naaman became furious, and went away and said, “Indeed, I said to myself, ‘He will surely come out to me, and stand and call on the name of the LORD his God, and wave his hand over the place, and heal the leprosy.’ 12 Are not the Abanah[a] and the Pharpar, the rivers of Damascus, better than all the waters of Israel? Could I not wash in them and be clean?” So he turned and went away in a rage. 13 And his servants came near and spoke to him, and said, “My father, if the prophet had told you to do something great, would you not have done it? How much more then, when he says to you, ‘Wash, and be clean’?” 14 So he went down and dipped seven times in the Jordan, according to the saying of the man of God; and his flesh was restored like the flesh of a little child, and he was clean.

Naaman had a preconceived notion on how his healing would come. But, God spoke different instructions to the great Prophet.

Naaman wanted Elisha to come to him personally and lay hands on him. He was angry he didn’t.
Yet, healing was still there for the taking. All he had to do was follow the words of the Prophet and he would be healed.

But, dipping in the water seven times??

Sometimes we don’t like what the instructions are the Holy Spirit gives to us. He may speak them directly to our hearts or through a Prophet of God. (Yes, there are still prophets in the Church according to Ephesians 4:11-12)

No matter how uncomfortable it may make you feel be quick to obey the Word from the Lord. Often times it is out of our comfort zone because the Lord is testing our faith.

But, don’t allow stubbornness, pride, nor fear of the unknown prevent you from receiving your miracle.

Listen to the voice of the Holy Spirit whether He speaks directly to your heart or through a man or woman of God.

Listen and obey.

God’s Methods For Receiving Healing III

Have I told you lately that God wants you healed?

He has provided so many ways for us to receive healing. We have discussed receiving healing by faith in the Word and also by having a believer lay hands on us. Any believer, according to Mark 16:18 qualifies to lay hands on the sick in the Name of Jesus.

The key is to be a believer.

Today, let’s look at another method God has given.

James 5:14-15 (King James Version) 14Is any sick among you? let him call for the elders of the church; and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord: 15And the prayer of faith shall save the sick, and the Lord shall raise him up; and if he have committed sins, they shall be forgiven him.

Does your Church pray for the sick according to this scripture? If not, why not?

Notice, the Holy Spirit through James does not deny sickness. But, He does provide the answer to sickness: FAITH!

We are to go to the elders of our local Church if we our battling illness and have them anoint us with oil in the Name of The Lord Jesus.

Every service should provide the opportunity for the sick to be prayed for.

“But, our Church doesn't believe in that kind of stuff?”

What kind of stuff? Oh, you mean the Bible?

I wonder how many people have died because their Church didn't believe. Let us be a believing Church.

Notice, the elders anoint with oil and it is the prayer of FAITH that shall save the sick.

Not a prayer of “I hope this works” or “We'll see what happens.”

No, it is the prayer of faith.

The moment this prayer is said your words and the elders word should line up with that faith.

Faith speaks in the now.

Faith calls those things that be not as though they were.

Faith brings healing.

God’s Methods of Healing Part II

We saw yesterday that we should endeavor to believe God’s Word for healing.

Today, we will look at the Believer’s ministry of laying of hands on the sick.

Mark 16:17-18 (New King James Version)17 And these signs will follow those who believe: In My name they will cast out demons; they will speak with new tongues; 18 they[a] will take up serpents; and if they drink anything deadly, it will by no means hurt them; they will lay hands on the sick, and they will recover.”

These are some of the last words spoken by Jesus Christ before His ascension. Therefore, it would seem they must be important to the believer.

Notice the Words of the Master, “These signs will follow those who believe.”
It does not say these signs will follow the Apostles, nor the 12 disciples or Pentecostal Holy Rollers. The only criteria the Lord Jesus gave was to be a believer.

Are you a believer? If you are then you qualify for these wonderful supernatural signs to follow your faith walk.

Did Jesus Christ say if a believer lays hands on the sick they might recover?

No!

Our Lord, the Head of the Church, stated without any equivocation that they would recover.

Period.

I tell you boldly the Lord wants you and I to execute His will on this earth. His will is for people to be healed in His Name and for Him to receive the Glory.

“Well, my church doesn’t believe that, Mace.”

May I be blunt? It doesn’t matter what your church believes or doesn’t believe. It matters what the Lord Jesus Christ, the Head of your Church, says.

It matters what you believe.

A believer has been given authority by Jesus Christ Himself to lay hands on the sick and expect them to recover.

The sick have a right to come to a believer to have hands laid on them expecting to be healed.

The Bible says it, believe it, and that settles it.

“But, I feel funny laying hands on sick people. What if it don’t work?”

Friend, once you act in faith the responsibility is on God to see His Word through. If His promise does not come to pass then it is either due to something on our behalf or the one we are praying for blocking the promise.

This could be doubt, sin, or a myriad of other things.
It could simply be that once we have laid hands on the sick or have had hands laid on us it is time to fight the battle of faith.

This is where a strong faith confession comes into play. While we are standing in faith we must continuously speak that faith promise over the circumstance.

"I am embarrassed to have hands laid on me. It makes me uncomfortable."

Is it more comfortable being sick? Often we must step outside our comfort zones in faith in order to receive the blessings Jesus paid for with His blood.

The devil will do his best to block the promises of God. This is spiritual warfare, my friend. But, we have been given the Sword of the Spirit, which is the Word of God.

Use your weapon against doubt, circumstances, and fear. God wants you healed and He wants to use you as a vessel to bring healing to a hurting world.

Don’t take my word for it. Take your Savior’s Word. After all, He is the one who said it.

God’s Methods of Healing Part 1

God’s primary pathway for healing for the believer is faith In The Word.

Psalm 107:19-20 (New King James Version) 19 Then they cried out to the LORD in their trouble, And He saved them out of their distresses. 20 He sent His word and healed them, And delivered them from their destructions.

Simple trust in the Word of God can and will bring about the desired results.

Let us look at an example in scripture.

Matthew 8:5-14 (King James Version) 5And when Jesus was entered into Capernaum, there came unto him a centurion, beseeching him, 6And saying, Lord, my servant lieth at home sick of the palsy, grievously tormented. 7And Jesus saith unto him, I will come and heal him. 8The centurion answered and said, Lord, I am not worthy that thou shouldest come under my roof: but speak the word only, and my servant shall be healed. 9For I am a man under authority, having soldiers under me: and I say to this man, Go, and he goeth; and to another, Come, and he cometh; and to my servant, Do this, and he doeth it. 10When Jesus heard it, he marvelled, and said to them that followed, Verily I say unto you, I have not found so great faith, no, not in Israel. … 13And Jesus said unto the centurion, Go thy way; and as thou hast believed, so be it done unto thee. And his servant was healed in the selfsame hour.

Notice all that the centurion did was believe in the Word of Jesus for the healing of his servant. He knew the power of Jesus and had complete confidence in that His word would do exactly what He said it would do.

When I was a kid my eardrum exploded. I lost some of my hearing and had a hole in my ear.
Well, when I heard the Word of Faith message I began to believe God for healing. I confessed what the Word said about healing over my ear.

Yet, the symptoms persisted in that I had trouble hearing sometimes. But, that did not deter my faith confession for healing. I refused to yield to the symptoms and stood on the Word.
In 1999 I went to the ear doctor to have my ear checked and to check my hearing. In the days leading up to the appointment I kept confessing the Word.

I took the tests and guess what. The hole in my ear was gone and the doctor said my hearing was perfect.

Thank God we can stand on His Word!

God wants you and I to get to the place where we simply rest in the confidence of His Word.
If you have children then you know it is a terrible thing when they are sick. Especially, when they are babies.

It is a terrible feeling seeing your baby crying in pain. You would do anything to take that sickness away because you love him or her.

Well, do you think your heavenly Father loves you any less than you love your own children? Of course, not!

Our Father wants us healed so much He sent His only Son Jesus to hang on a cross. On that cross He bore our sicknesses so we could have Divine Health.

Praise God.

He is merciful. He knows we are all at different faith levels; therefore, has provided many ways to obtain healing.

We don't expect a newborn baby to get up and run the 40 yard dash. No, the baby must grow, get strong, and mature. The baby becomes a child, a youth, and then an adult.

Well, we have more expectations for the adult than we do the baby, don't we? So does our Heavenly Father.

A mature believer can get healed by his or her faith in the Word. They have developed their faith by feeding on the Word and exercising their faith by acting on the word and confessing the Word.

The baby Christian is just that: a baby. There is no shame in that. We are all growing and developing. Some are mature regarding faith for salvation but babies regarding spiritual gifts. Some are mature in the area of healing but a baby in Biblical Prosperity.

The point is we should ever be maturing in all facets of the faith walk. None of us has arrived. So, if you are a baby Christian feed on the Word, speak the Word and act on the Word. You won't stay a baby for long!

As you mature you will develop your faith and your faith in the Word will be your pathway to healing.
This is God’s number one intended method for the believer to receive healing: Faith In The Word.

Isn't Death The Ultimate Healing?

I have heard many people say that when someone has died they have received the ultimate healing.

This is not biblical.

Don’t let doubt or unbelief keep you from receiving healing.

Don’t let the death of someone else keep you from being healed.

The truth is we don’t know everything regarding someone’s death. We don’t know the spiritual condition of the one who has died. We don’t know if they wanted to leave this earth or not.

After all, their faith has a part to play in this.

For instance, I could pray all I want for Joe Blow to accept Jesus Christ as His savior. But, he still has free will to choose Christ or reject him.

The same is true with healing or any other promise of God. We either receive the promise by faith or we don’t.

What does the Word say about death being the ultimate healing?

John 11:20-27 (New King James Version)20 Now Martha, as soon as she heard that Jesus was coming, went and met Him, but Mary was sitting in the house. 21 Now Martha said to Jesus, “Lord, if You had been here, my brother would not have died. 22 But even now I know that whatever You ask of God, God will give You.” 23 Jesus said to her, “Your brother will rise again.” 24 Martha said to Him, “I know that he will rise again in the resurrection at the last day.” 25 Jesus said to her, “I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in Me, though he may die, he shall live. 26 And whoever lives and believes in Me shall never die. Do you believe this?” 27 She said to Him, “Yes, Lord, I believe that You are the Christ, the Son of God, who is to come into the world.”

Notice, Jesus called Himself the resurrection. He then went and raised Lazarus from the dead!
As you read the Gospels Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John you will read about Jesus healing people from all sorts of diseases and raising folk from the dead.

Not one time that I am aware of did Jesus lay hands on someone declared them healed and they dropped dead.

It sounds ludicrous doesn’t it? Yet, that is how we say Jesus heals today when we try and justify our unbelief in healing.

Friend, if you are battling a disease that the doctors say there is no cure for don’t settle.

Death is not your healing.

God wants you healed in this life.

Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever.

Why Does God Put Sickness On Me?

So many Christians are bound by sickness because they believe God was the author of it. They accept it as God’s will.

I tell you, the devil is crafty. If he can get us to accept his work as God’s then he can just sit back and watch us waste away.

First of all, we saw clearly yesterday that Jesus bore our sickness on the cross so we don’t have too. That being the case, would it make sense for Christ to take upon Himself sickness if it was God’s will for you to be sick?

No.

Let’s look at the words of Jesus:
John 10:10 (King James Version) 10The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.
Who do you think He is talking about when He says thief?
The devil!
It is the devil that wants to steal your health, to kill you and destroy you. It is not God.
Jesus came so you and I could have an abundant life.
Tell me, are you living the abundant life while you are battling sickness?
Are you experiencing the abundant life barely able to breath, in pain all the time and barely able to move?
Of course, not. I want you to know it is the devil that is the author of your malady and that Jesus is the author of your healing!
Acts 10:38 (King James Version) 38How God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Ghost and with power: who went about doing good, and healing all that were oppressed of the devil; for God was with him.
Did you notice who did the healing and who did the oppressing?
Jesus did the healing.
It was and is the devil who did the oppressing.
Jesus does good and the devil does evil.
I don’t know anyone yet who would claim cancer, autism, Parkinson’s disease, AIDS or any other disease is good.
Friend, I want you to get this truth down deep into your spirit. It is the devil that wants you sick. He wants to destroy you.
But, thank God for Jesus the healer.
He has come so you can be healed in every area of your life.
He has come to give you the abundant life in every area.
He has come to do good to you!

Is Healing For The Believer?

Sometimes it seems like Christians think of healing as if God is playing darts. If God hits the bull’s eye then we get healed and if not then we don’t.

Friend, God is not inconsistent. He is no respecter of persons. His promises are not a crap shoot.

Let us look at scripture to see if healing is for the believer.
Isaiah 53:4-5 (King James Version) 4Surely he hath borne our griefs, and carried our sorrows: yet we did esteem him stricken, smitten of God, and afflicted. 5But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed.
The great Prophet wrote these words about the coming Messiah. This prophesies what Jesus would accomplish at the Cross for the believer.
Every traditional denomination believes and often quotes part of this scripture. They teach and believe Jesus was wounded for our transgressions. In other words, because of our sin he suffered at the Cross so we don’t have too. Thank God for that.
But, how can we believe that portion of scripture and ignore verse 4 and the remainder of verse 5. Either it is all true or it is all a lie.
“Mace, it is talking about spiritual healing here.”
Really?
Lets review verse 4. Remember, the Old Testament was written in Hebrew and translated into English.
The Hebrew word for griefs is Choli. It literally means disease and sickness.
The Hebrew word for sorrows is Makob. It literally means pain.
With these words defined we can literally read Isaiah 53:4-5 as such:
Isaiah 53:4-5 (King James Version) 4Surely he hath borne our SICKNESS AND DISEASES, and carried our PAIN: yet we did esteem Him stricken, smitten of God, and afflicted. 5But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed.
Friend, I think you would agree with me that Jesus bore our sin on the cross so we could be free of sin.
Well, He also bore our sickness and disease on the Cross so we would be free of it.
“How come I don’t have healing?”
Healing is obtained just like salvation is: By Faith!
Before you could get saved you had to know that Jesus paid the price for your sin.
The same is true with healing. The problem has been to many Christians have not been taught on healing or have had unbiblical misconceptions about healing.
Starting today that is going to change. I am going to equip you with the Word of God to use as your mighty Sword of the Spirit against every disease and sickness known and unknown to man.
His Word heals.
Dare to believe the Word for your healing!
By faith you are healed by the stripes of Jesus!

VOTE THE BIBLE

I want to encourage you to vote tomorrow. Your vote is your seed that you are sowing into this nation. Sow good seed.

Don't leave your Bible out of the voting booth. In other words, don't make your checkbook, your party affiliation, nor even your race or gender be your main criteria. Vote for the candidate who is more in line with what the Bible says, who ever that may be.

Also, no matter who wins Christians should rejoice!

"How is that? Did you see who won?"

It doesn't matter, my friend. Jesus is still seated on His throne.

Jesus is still King of kings and Lord of Lords.

He has never let us down yet and He never will.

Be blessed,

Mace

Don't Get A Hard Heart!

Hebrews 6:4-6 (Amplified Bible)4For it is impossible [to restore and bring again to repentance] those who have been once for all enlightened, who have consciously tasted the heavenly gift and have become sharers of the Holy Spirit, 5And have felt how good the Word of God is and the mighty powers of the age and world to come, 6If they then deviate from the faith and turn away from their allegiance--[it is impossible] to bring them back to repentance, for (because, while, as long as) they nail upon the cross the Son of God afresh [as far as they are concerned] and are holding [Him] up to contempt and shame and public disgrace.

God is merciful. That is so true.

But, there does come a point where we can push His mercy away.

This happens the exact opposite way most religious folks think. Many believe when one sins they have fallen from Grace.

"Oh, preacher Bob got caught in sin. He has fallen from Grace."

That is not true. In fact, that is when we need Grace the most. When we sin we must go boldly to the throne room of Grace by faith. It is faith that keeps us in Grace.

But, it is unbelief that rejects the Grace of God. When we choose religion, works or just deny the Cross we step out of Grace and mercy and into a world of hurt.

The more we reject truth the more our heart hardens to truth.

Look how many people reject the Biblical truth of healing or the gifts of the Holy Spirit due to tradition or denominationalism. Their heart grows hard to these truths to the point they will fight you over it.

Well, thank God you can be saved and not receive those truths. But, those that reject salvation through the finished work of Christ only are not saved. The more they reject the truth the harder their heart will get until there is a point of no return.

A hardened heart rejects mercy and ends in destruction. Just ask Pharaoh.

Whatcha Gonna Do??

Hebrews 5:14-15 (New King James Version)14 But solid food belongs to those who are of full age, that is, those who by reason of use have their senses exercised to discern both good and evil.

God doesn't want us to stay little babies always having to run to the preacher to pray for us or spiritually burp us.

He wants us to grow up in Christ and stand against the devil in Christ as mature believers.

How does a natural baby grow? Well, the baby starts off on baby food and as his body is able to take it more "grown up" food is given to him. Also, exercise of the body is important to the baby's development into adolescent and then into adulthood.

The baby, as he grows becomes less dependant upon others and as he matures and strengthens he is able to stand on his own.

Spiritually we grow by feeding on spiritual food and exercise too. We feed our spirits by reading the Word and we exercise our spirit by acting on the Word. In other words we mature by feeding on the Word and acting on the Word.

If we will intake a steady diet of the word and exercise our faith we will grow into spiritual Hulk Hogans!

Devil, what you gonna do when God's kids come after you???

Stir Up Your Faith!

Hebrews 5:10-11 (Amplified Bible)10Being [a]designated and recognized and saluted by God as High Priest after the order (with [b]the rank) of Melchizedek.(A) 11Concerning this we have much to say which is hard to explain, since you have become dull in your [spiritual] hearing and sluggish [even [c]slothful in achieving spiritual insight].

Don't ever stop growing in the Word of God.

Salvation is great. It is the greatest gift a sinner can receive. But once you are saved there is a smorgasbord of benefits available to the believer. The problem is to many Christians are uninterested due to denominationalism, tradition or fear that the Bible might contradict their long held beliefs.

Don't be dull of hearing. Search the scriptures.

"But, Mace I am fine where I am. If God wants me to know about the Gifts of the Spirit, prosperity, or healing He will reveal it to me."

Friend, He does and has. Every benefit for the believer is found in the Bible. It is up to you to study it out.

God has also placed anointed teachers in the Body and it is up to you spend time listening to teaching tapes and reading anointed books.

"I don't need a teacher."

Well, according to the Word of God it is He who placed teachers in the Body. I assume He felt it was necessary or He would not have done it.

Stir up you faith and passion for the Word of God. Find out what you have in Christ and who you are In Christ. Your faith life will grow leaps and bounds.

REST II

Hebrews 4:3-10 (New Living Translation)3 For only we who believe can enter his rest. As for the others, God said, “In my anger I took an oath: ‘They will never enter my place of rest,’”[a] even though this rest has been ready since he made the world. 4 We know it is ready because of the place in the Scriptures where it mentions the seventh day: “On the seventh day God rested from all his work.”[b] 5 But in the other passage God said, “They will never enter my place of rest.”[c] 6 So God’s rest is there for people to enter, but those who first heard this good news failed to enter because they disobeyed God. 7 So God set another time for entering his rest, and that time is today. God announced this through David much later in the words already quoted: “Today when you hear his voice, don’t harden your hearts.”[d] 8 Now if Joshua had succeeded in giving them this rest, God would not have spoken about another day of rest still to come. 9 So there is a special rest[e] still waiting for the people of God. 10 For all who have entered into God’s rest have rested from their labors, just as God did after creating the world.

Doesn't it feel good after a hard workout to just sit down and rest?

The thing is that many of us are working hard, having no rest and there is absolutely no reason for it. We seem to think that if we wear ourselves out with religious activity we will have victory in this life over the devil and then we will appropriate the blessings of God.

Friend, that is not true.

We have victory over the devil and receive all the blessings of God not by doing diddly squat. We get it by doing nothing but placing our faith in the finished work of Christ.

You see, Jesus is seated at the right hand of the Father because His work is done. He is at rest.

You and I, if our faith is in the finished work of Christ, are seated with Him in the eyes of God. We are at rest. We have His rest.

We don't have to try to be blessed because we are blessed.

So, let the blessed enter into His rest.

Rest!

Hebrews 3:8-11 (New King James Version)8 Do not harden your hearts as in the rebellion, In the day of trial in the wilderness, 9 Where your fathers tested Me, tried Me, And saw My works forty years. 10 Therefore I was angry with that generation, And said, ‘They always go astray in their heart, And they have not known My ways.’ 11 So I swore in My wrath,
‘ They shall not enter My rest.’”[a]

Rest assured, each of us will have a day of trial. As long as the devil rules this world we will either be in a trail, leaving a trial or entering a trial. This is because we live in a cursed world.
However, unlike Israel we can choose to take God at His Word, trust Him and enter His rest.
Why can we rest? Because when we are In Christ we are seated with Him at the right hand of the Father. That is our position in Christ.
Why is Christ seated? Because His work is done. If it is done there is no reason for us to struggle to bring victory over the trial. It is already done!
You and I must enforce the victory not by squawking and crying but by faith. Faith in the finished work, faith in Christ's total victory over the enemy on our behalf, and faith that we have what the Word says we have.
So quit struggling and enter the Father's rest by faith.

Prejudice

Philemon 1:15-16 (Amplified Bible)15Perhaps it was for this reason that he was separated [from you] for a while, that you might have him back as yours forever, 16Not as a slave any longer but as [something] more than a slave, as a brother [Christian], especially dear to me but how much more to you, both in the flesh [as a servant] and in the Lord [as a fellow believer].

So many believers get really upset when they see a brother or sister in Christ fall to sexual sin, drugs, or alcohol.

"I don't see how they could be saved and do those things."

Yes, those are terrible sins. All sin is terrible. But, thank God for the mercy of God.

You know what? God sees into the heart. Some of these same folk condemning may not be committing a sexual sin or drinking, but, they are committing a sin of hatred.

"Mace, I can't help how I feel about black people."

Then God is a liar because He says you are new creature. You are now a son or daughter of God and God does not show prejudice because of race.

"But, you don't know what those white folk did to my grandparents."

No, but I know what all of mankind did to God the Father's Son. Yet, He loved us while we were yet sinners.

How, it must sadden the Father's heart and bring joy to Satan when we allow our words to speak against His children.

If you have ill will or prejudice buried deep within your heart ask the Holy Spirit to purge it. Don't allow your words to please hell and grieve heaven.

Speak the love language of your Heavenly Father.

Love For The Brethren

Philemon 1:4-5 (New King James Version) 4 I thank my God, making mention of you always in my prayers, 5 hearing of your love and faith which you have toward the Lord Jesus and toward all the saints,

Faith and love go hand in hand. The problem is when we try to operate one without the other.

Notice, the love of Philemon for Jesus and all the saints was so powerful that it was well known through out the Body of Christ.

I wonder how much our love is for the Body of Christ? Yes, it is easy to love the people that sit next to us Sunday morning.

But, do we bother to pray for our brothers and sisters in Christ in another city, state or another nation. When we hear about injustice to our brethren do we just shrug our shoulders or do we go to battle on their behalf in the spirit realm?

A brother or sister somewhere is depending on your prayer and my prayer. We are the one's God has tapped on the shoulder and told to go into the battle.

When you feel the Holy Spirit leading you into prayer and you don't know how to pray then pray in your prayer language, That is why it is given. Don't ignore the Holy Spirit.

Take your place for your family in Christ.

Mercy

Titus 3:12-15 (Amplified Bible)12When I send Artemas or [perhaps] Tychicus to you, lose no time but make every effort to come to me at Nicopolis, for I have decided to spend the winter there. 13Do your utmost to speed Zenas the lawyer and Apollos on their way; see that they want for (lack) nothing. 14And let our own [people really] learn to apply themselves to good deeds (to honest labor and honorable employment), so that they may be able to meet necessary demands [a]whenever the occasion may require and not be living idle and uncultivated and unfruitful lives. 15All who are with me wish to be remembered to you. Greet those who love us in the faith. Grace (God's favor and blessing) be with you all. Amen (so be it).

Verse 14 tells us why the Holy Spirit through Paul wants us to do good deeds.

It is so we will be in a position to meet the needs of a hurting world, which in turn, allows us to bring Jesus to them.

There are Christian organizations that supply food to third world countries with a two-fold purpose: 1) Feed the natural man 2) Feed the spiritual man with Gospel of Jesus Christ.

We have gotten pretty good about preaching to people, condemning sin, and publishing the Gospel.

Let us not forget that the Lord Jesus Himself also instructed us to feed the hungry, take care of the poor, and meet the needs of the hurting.

"But, some of those folk don't deserve help. They are drug addicts or boozers."

Friend, it is only the guilty that need mercy.

When we look in the mirror we see someone guilty but who was given mercy. Not because we deserved it. It was because He loved you and me. How dare we not do the same?
Oh, how He loves you and me,Oh, how He loves you and me.He gave His life, what more could He give;Oh, how He loves you, Oh, how He loves me,Oh, how He loves you and me.
Jesus to Calv'ry did go,His love for mankind to show. What He did there brought hope from despair.Oh, how He loves you, Oh, how He loves me,Oh how He loves you and me.
Oh, how He loves you and me,Oh, how He loves you and me.He gave His life, what more could He give;Oh, how He loves you, Oh, how He loves me,Oh, how He loves you and me.
